Comme annoncé par le Président de la République à l’automne, le premier One Ocean Summit sera organisé à Brest du 9 au 11 février 2022.
Brest, the European capital of marine science has been selected to host this event, organised with the cooperation of the United Nations and the World Bank as part of the French presidency of the Council of the European Union 2022. Through the ‘One Ocean Summit’, France, the world’s second largest maritime power, intends to gather significant political momentum with regards to the international agenda for maritime issues, with a particular focus on bringing to a successful conclusion any multilateral negotiations that impact the ocean and fuelling the UN Ocean conference (Lisbon, late June 2022).
