Le ministre iranien des Affaires étrangères Mohammad Javad Zarif se trouve actuellement à Biarritz, alors que la situation iranienne est l’un des sujets les plus discutés de la 45e édition du G7.

Citant le site FlightRadar.24.com, l’AFP et Reuters ont d’abord annoncé qu’un avion gouvernemental iranien avait atterri ce dimanche après-midi, peu après 14h, à l’aéroport de Biarritz.

Téhéran a ensuite annoncé la présence de Mohammad Javad Zarif. Selon Reuters, ce dernier ne devrait pas discuter avec Donald Trump et la délégation américaine.

Enfin, l’Elysée a confirmé la présence du ministre indiquant qu’il était – peu avant 16h – en train de s’entretenir avec son homologue français Jean-Yves Le Drian. Il s’agit de faire le point sur les conditions auxquelles nous pouvons avoir une désescalade et un pause, selon la présidence française.
